sleazy slice.

A couple of months ago I posted some flicks from a mid 90's smut comic titled, Spore Whores by the controversial S.C.A.R. Just when I thought the Australian gross-out duo had fallen off the face of the earth I find issue #4 of Sleazy Slice (published by Robin Bougie hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia). A comic compilation with a little slice of S.C.A.R. by the name of Z'bula: Warqueen.

crying demons

A. A. Allen was a faith healer throughout the 1950's and 60's. He produced a bevy of books, tapes, records, syndicated radio and television programming. Most noteworthy are Allen's two recordings of demons being cast out through live exorcism. I Am Lucifer and Crying Demons (shown above) were available for $3 donation at Allen's camp meetings.

the grabbies.

I regrettably slept on purchasing an issue of Robert Crumb's The Grabbies in a back issue bin at a comic shop a few years ago.

crenshaw baseball.

The 1979 Crenshaw High School baseball team featured future major league legends Darryl Strawberry and Chris Brown. Considered the greatest team to ever play in a LA high school championship, the season is documented in the book The Ticket Out written by Michael Sokolove. Both the team and logo are immaculate.
