A couple of months ago I posted some flicks from a mid 90's smut comic titled, Spore Whores by the controversial S.C.A.R. Just when I thought the Australian gross-out duo had fallen off the face of the earth I find issue #4 of Sleazy Slice (published by Robin Bougie hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia). A comic compilation with a little slice of S.C.A.R. by the name of Z'bula: Warqueen.

The Boris Karloff's Tales of Mystery (Gold Key Comics) ran from 1962 to 1982. The comic book was based on the early 1960's TV series Thriller on NBC and was hosted by "Karloff the Uncanny" himself. Cover art gallery here.

Guy! I can't believe I'm missing TCAF this weekend. Highlight of last year: meeting Rick Spears and getting a photo copied sampler of his upcoming comic with James Callahan (still in the works). I picked up a couple of his books on a whim a few years back and became an instant freak for his line illustrations and monster theme. Here's the cover of Strange Detective Tales no. 2 Dead Love (Oddgod Press) by James Callahan whom, incidentally, will not be exhibiting at TCAF.

For those of you attending this years Comic Arts Festival make a point to breeze by Koyama Press booth for a bevy of local masterpieces including Lose by Michael De Forge.

A pornographic magnum opus by Bob Fingerman titled, Skinheads in Love, published by none other than Eros Comix in 1991. Fingerman is the messiah of underground art, with humbling beginnings in Al Goldstein's Screw, Penthouse, Heavy Metal, Hot Talk and Hightimes. His illustrations are more than just J.O. worthy, they're actually good, a rarity in the world of smut to say the very least.
