Before Paul Frusco popped off Alf, he was simply known as the best of the jock-riding Jim Henson hacks. The puppets in the 1981 Halloween special The Crown of Bogg are unmistakably Muppetesque, with a Fraggle Rock setting and the type of punchy one-liners we’d expect from Statler and Waldorf. This show falls short of a Muppet Special but that’s precisely the beauty of it. If it weren’t for guys like Frusco keeping the B in Biter we’d never know Sir Sub, All-4-One, Sleepaway Camp and Great Gianna Sisters. This one was never released to VHS or DVD but ripped to youtube in ’09 for your long lost enjoyment. Part one of six.
