Lou Monte was best know for his Italian themed novelty records such as, Lou Monte Sings Songs for Pizza Lovers - 1958, Lou Monte Sings the Great Italian American Hits - 1961 , and Pepino the Italian Mouse - 1962 (album cover below). Included on the record is a sweet little italian rendition of Sixteen Tons (originally written by Merle Travis in 1946).
